Two clinical psychologists and a therapist, Options Group.

11 July 2016

‘Why work for Options Group?’ I asked Billy Smallwood, Head of Clinical Services at Options Group, for her thoughts…

“We’ve always been proud of the high quality services we deliver to the children and adults that we support. As an organisation, we constantly invest in new and innovative ways to achieve the best outcomes for those in our care, and are often seen as leading the field within our sector. Our clinical services are delivered through a core team of embedded clinicians within each service, meaning we are able to be responsive to the changing and developing needs of individuals we care for. We don’t have a ‘one size fits all’ approach. We take on complex cases and treat each person on their own merits. In our clinicians, we have a dynamic, adaptable and compassionate team whom we believe are some of the best in the sector, and through our commitment to continuous professional development, we ensure the children and adults that we support receive the best levels of care possible.

'We are currently in an exciting new stage of our development as Options have recently come together with The Hillcrest Group of services, whose parent company is Outcomes First Group, to create one of the UK’s largest providers of specialist care and education. The combined group will now look after approximately 700 children and adults across a range of different services and geographical locations, ranging from special schools, residential care, colleges and specialist fostering. These new vacancies within our clinical team, therefore present a great opportunity for the right candidate to work within a dynamic and growing organisation.

'The Clinical Psychologists will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team under the supervision of a dedicated Consultant Clinical Psychologist. We’re looking for people who can work flexibly in an embedded context and get on with a variety of stakeholders from relatives, professional colleagues, care home staff/managers and commissioners. They will undertake some client work however, the Psychologists main role will focus on working with staff teams on role modelling, training, profiling, and behaviour analysis. Our clients are children and adults with autism, complex needs and social, emotional and mental health needs, therefore experience of working with people with learning disabilities or those who have behaviour that challenges is essential, however we are most interested to find people who share our core values and expertise. You will be joining a staff team who are passionate about improving the lives of people with learning disabilities and will be well supported within the clinical team, where CPD and staff support are highly valued.'
