Continuing professional development
Update by Sue Sharrock, Chair of the Standing Committee for the Continuing Professional Development of Psychologists (SCCPDP).
CONTINUING professional development has been the topic of recent debate in the letters page of The Psychologist (see February, April, May 2000). Since then the Society has had a vote on whether Statute 13 should be amended to include a requirement for Chartered Psychologists holding practising certificates to engage in CPD. This vote was carried with 92.3 per cent of voters in favour of the amendment. This article is part of a plan to keep you informed about CPD developments, and to repeat earlier requests for your comments and feedback through your Division or to the SCCPDP at the Leicester office.
