How can European Psychology thrive beyond Brexit?

From January to June 2018, the UK will be hosting the 'European Semester of Psychology'. To mark the occasion, we are seeking to pull together your letters in response to the following question:

How can UK and 'European Psychology' thrive beyond Brexit?

We're after up to 500 words. You may wish to reflect upon:

- whether there is indeed such a thing as 'European Psychology'; similarities and differences across Europe; whether 'European Psychology' differs from psychology elsewhere across the world (e.g. see this piece from 2001 on European vs US psychology)

- whether UK psychology stands to bear the brunt of any changes, or whether there are potential positives

- how psychological theory, research and practice may be called into action around and beyond Brexit

- opportunities and pitfalls the next decade may see

- what it would really mean / take for our discipline to 'thrive' in a new political, social and cultural landscape

Seek to write in a way that will truly engage and inform our large and diverse audience, and prompt discussion and debate.
