1998 Annual Conference 26-29 March Brighton Conferencce Centre
THIS year’s Annual Conference returned once more to the Brighton seafront. The wet and windy weather made battling with the elements between the hotels and the Brighton Conference Centre a challenge for the first day or two of the conference. Maybe the weather also explained the reduced numbers who were attending the talks and the display areas, although overall registrations were down considerably on last year. This was a pity given the large number of interesting topics covered in talks, round tables and workshops. Many of these were related to the three main themes of the conference — Psychology and Education, Attention and Sport. In addition, a further area of research was represented by the Division of Clinical Psychology conference which was running in parallel.
