Coverage of the Annual Conference 2000 in Winchester

Associate Editor for Conference reports Fiona Jones introduces our coverage of the 2000 Annual Conference.
THE 2000 Annual Conference was held at Winchester for the first time, with sessions split between the historic Winchester Guildhall and the nearby Wessex Hotel. The venue was all within earshot of the cathedral bells and was overseen by the statue of King Alfred. The conference was structured round three broad themes — cognition and emotion, modelling the mind, and psychology and health. In addition the annual conferences of the Division of Clinical Psychology and the Student Members’ Group ran alongside the main event.
