Postgraduate students normally dread their viva, their heads filled with horror stories from playful colleagues about their ‘viva from hell’. But in reality most are anything but a nightmare. As long as you have worked reasonably hard and listened to the advice of your supervisor, your viva ought to be an enjoyable occasion, a celebration of your work. However, to get the most out of it, you must prepare.
